Officers from the Elk Grove Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit will be available to answer questions from members of the community on Tuesday, May 8 from 7 to 9:00 a.m. at It’s a Grind at 9385 Elk Grove Blvd. and 9620 Bruceville Road as part of the “Coffee with a Cop” program.
The
“Coffee with a Cop” program is a unique way to strengthen the
partnership between the police department
and the community it serves. Members of the community will be able to ask specific or general
questions related to the neighborhoods they live in.
“It’s very important that our police
officers develop strong relationships within the community,” Elk
Grove Police Chief Robert Lehner said. “We believe that this type of open
dialogue plays a critical role in establishing a
true partnership between the community and the police department.”
